OP Digital · Social design V2 · 30 Sep 2026 · proposal, nothing live

Social design V2for your picks.

One system for carousels, statics and founder posts, built from the brand we already have: paper and ink, the blue mark, big type making one point, and real proof you can read.

Nothing has been posted, uploaded or changed. The ad and video skills, campaigns and Meta account are untouched. Everything sits on branch worktree-social-design-v2.

What I need from you
  1. Pick one slide 1 per test (next section). And if there's a carousel you like the look of, send it: your rule is that sets start from your reference.
  2. Ground: paper by default, with an ink slide for the turn. Recommended Or Graphite black?
  3. Headline face: Bricolage condensed, which is the brand face and is on the site. Recommended Or Anton, TEST1's exact letters?
  4. Energy: my read is not yet, by your "visual energy" bar. The grid is still mostly paper and the proof crops are small. The fix is a photo session with you, sharper proof captures and motion covers, not tape and stickers. Agree?
  5. Canvas: organic posts at 3:4 (1080x1440), Instagram's current max. Recommended One private test post first: Meta's API page says carousels crop to the first image, square by default. Until that's settled, 3:4 goes up through the app.
  6. Last-slide CTA: "Ring the demo · 0468 050 520", or no number on organic posts?
Reply like: 1A 2A 3A · paper · Bricolage · agree / calm is right · 3:4 · number / no number
01 · The picks

Slide 1,three directions each.

Swipe each row. My pick is first in each row.

Test 1 · Managed AI systems, never leading with "AI"

Huge 152, then 'seconds.' with the caller's real line from the transcript
1A 152 seconds. One real test call, step by step. Every slide is proof.
Same call, two endings: one line forks, grey to voicemail, black to a booking
1B Same call, two endings. One call forks: voicemail, or answered and booked.
After it rings, follow the line: one line running off the slide edge
1C Follow the line. One line runs across every slide.

Test 2 · OP Digital, how you think

Most businesses buy the software first. Then bend the business to fit it.
2A The other way round. A belief, the method, a close on your photo.
Before we build anything, we map this: an enquiry's path with two branches, missed call to text back and no reply to follow up
2B We map this first. Best as a real photo of you at a whiteboard.
A plain founder note card from Sam
2C Founder note. Our own card. No fake platform chrome.

Test 3 · "You probably don't need more leads"

You probably don't need more leads, over a line with three gaps and dots falling through
3A The leaking line. Three gaps, one per slide. It closes on the same line with the gaps shut.
A leaking bucket drawn in the same line style
3B The bucket. A metaphor. Weaker than the line.
Where an enquiry goes, hour by hour, labelled as an example day
3C Hour by hour. Parts of the day, no clock times. An example, labelled as one.
02 · Full sets (safe prototypes, not finals)

How a wholecarousel carries.

Built so you can judge the system. All 31 renders pass the automated checks: fonts, margins, minimum size, clipping, overlaps, logo clear space, and now SVG clipping and text touching a line. Two fresh reviews failed my first pass and then my first fix: diagrams that looked like sliders or steppers, a clipped ring, made-up clock times on 3C, a line through a label, empty bands. Those are fixed. The weak spots that remain (small proof crops, draft words, a quiet slide or two) are listed in the package's QA table.

1A · 152 seconds

Cover: 152 seconds
01 · the hook is the number
Answered properly: the real greeting, then the caller's reply
02 · answered
Asked what matters: where, what, how urgent
03 · asked what matters
Booked, Thursday 8 am, with the real calendar event
04 · booked, on ink
Handed over to the owner: the real call summary
05 · handed over
No one had to pick up. It still got booked.
06 · the close (service line is DRAFT)

All proof is the 26 Sep demo call (2:44 pm, 152 s, booked Thu 1 Oct 8 am). The caller was someone you know playing a scenario, so every label says test or demo call, never customer.

2A · The other way round

Most businesses buy the software first: the business line detours round a software box
01 · the belief (DRAFT words)
We start the other way round: software then your day, versus your day then the system
02 · the swap
The first questions aren't about AI, with four real setup questions
03 · real setup questions
The software is the easy part
04 · the turn, on ink
Then we keep it running: map, build, run, with a loop back to the start
05 · managed (a loop, not a list)
Photo of Sam with the line: built around how your business already works
06 · you

The words are my DRAFT, built from the one positioning line in the brief. Your own words replace them.

3A · The leaking line

Cover: the line with three gaps
01 · cover
Unanswered: the call rings out while you are with a customer
02 · unanswered
Unreplied: the web form waits in the inbox until tonight
03 · unreplied
Unchased: the quote goes out, nobody follows it up
04 · unchased
That isn't a lead problem. It's a what-happens-next problem.
05 · the turn
The cover's line with the gaps closed
06 · same line, fixed

No numbers anywhere, so there is nothing to verify or invent.

03 · Three simple posts

More slidesisn't better content.

Sam looking off-camera toward the line: how your business works comes first
P1 Founder photo. A real frame from your 26 Sep desk takes. DRAFT line.
Your business doesn't need more software
P2 Text post. DRAFT line.
The same text post on ink
P2 on ink. For grid rhythm.
Caller line, booked within 152 seconds, the real calendar event
P3 Product. Test 1 as one post.
04 · OP Motion

Movementthat explains.

The 3A cover as a 6-second loop: enquiries ride the line, most fall through the gaps, a few reach Booked. The first frame works as a still, because plenty of people never see it move.

Motion cover. Loops seamlessly, 122 KB.
05 · In the feed, at phone size

Checked whereit will live.

Our own plain frame at 390 pt, with no likes or counts. Swipe sideways.

Profile grid

The first two versions broke the rule of an ink or photo tile in every row. This one follows it: six different posts, two of them carousels, no family twice running. It breaks one rule: only one post has you in it, because only one usable photo of you exists (asset gap 1). It is still mostly light, which is the energy question.

06 · Old vs V2

What the old onesstill do better.

29 Sep carousel vs 3A

Old: AI photo of a ute with tape headline
Before
V2 3A cover
V2

Old wins on energy and relevance at a glance. A ute at dusk is the buyer's world. V2 wins on trust: no AI scene pretending to be a job, one idea, and it looks like one company.

25 Sep creative map vs 1A

Old: navy slide with glowing icon
Before
V2 1A cover
V2

V2 wins outright: real proof instead of a glowing icon, and three times the scale contrast. You already called the old one boring.

23 Sep poster vs the same message in V2

Old: green poster with a dashboard
Before
V2 remake with a squiggle versus a straight line
V2

Old wins on density and polish: it looks like an ad, and the green is distinctive. V2 wins on honesty and legibility: no made-up dashboard numbers, one idea instead of eight.

The honest risk, plainly. By your own bar ("visual energy, not minimalism", "fill the frame") these stills are probably too quiet. The grid is 3 paper, 1 stone, 1 ink and 1 photo tile, only one post has you in it, and 1A's inside slides are small crops on paper. The fix is photography of you, the sharper proof captures and motion covers. Never decoration.

09 · Format router

Format followsthe idea.

Ask in order and stop at the first yes:

  1. You're talking on camera: the Reel lane, which is a different skill.
  2. One sentence stands on its own: a text post, or a founder photo post.
  3. The proof is one screen: a product post.
  4. A mechanism fits one picture: a diagram post.
  5. A contrast needs a reveal: 2-4 slides.
  6. An event in order: 5-7 slides.
  7. A real method: 7-10 slides.
  8. Change over time is the point: a motion card.

Feed rhythm: four carousels at most in any nine posts, two with you in them, an ink or photo tile in every grid row.

Carousel shapes

Idea to explanation · problem to system · before and after · case study (never invented) · contrarian · a list (only a real one) · one line across the slides. People swipe because something is still unresolved, never because of an arrow.

10 · What I found

The auditin six lines.

Research that shaped it

11 · Asset gaps

What would makethis better.

  1. One 30-minute photo session by a window: phone at 4K, no lav mic. Take each setup twice, once with the top third empty and once with a side third empty for type.
    • At the laptop.
    • On the phone, looking away.
    • Relaxed to camera.
    • Hands holding a real booking on the phone.
    • Mapping an enquiry on a whiteboard.
    • One portrait against a dark wall.
  2. Recapture the GHL proof at 2x. I can do this myself.
  3. Capture an SMS thread from a test contact on a fiction number. I can do this myself.
  4. Your own words for Test 2 and the founder posts.
  5. A carousel you like, as the reference.
  6. A working white lockup. lockup-white.png is solid white on every pixel, with no transparency, so it can't be used anywhere. Drive's Brand folder is locked.
  7. Client proof, only after a client has paid in full and said yes.
  8. The 9 old IG posts: archive them when V2 starts? Never delete.
